Congraulations George!
George Cain a dear friend was honored with the Lighthouse Employee of the Year Award presented to him by Mariners Inn Treatment Center his employer for being an outstanding employee.
This is such a honor for George after overcoming some major trouble spots in his life: George, after spending many years in and out of prison and overcoming substance addiction has become a role model for others to follow. George has been in recovery for nearly 13 years and mentors others in their recovery. George is a committed husband, father and has dedicated his life to helping and volunteering in the community by passing out, food, clothes and keeping it real talks.
George is also an agent with BCMM providing and sharing his life experiences at our workshops. Akili and I were thrilled to share this monumental occasion with George and his family. It was touching to see George as he reflected that it wasn’t for nothing.
