The more involved I become with learning and teaching others about PICS, the more aware I have become that there is far less resources for females who have done time in institutions including prison, jails and recovery centers. Women are overlooked and this issue of “Women In Trouble” is not talked about because it is taboo in most cultures. Honestly, I think all. Most because of the stigma most hide from this trauma, never to heal. We need to talk about what happened to you and how to move forward in your life.
