past the point of the pen’s prick.
It is the silent lightening of PICS

picking at your core
questioning even your
faith’s declaration of sins forgiven.
It’s the smoldering cole
turned into the BIC’s flick
the flame burning away
your thunderous insecurity
about your own place in this
declared freedom space.
